Voting intentions poll shows CON 29% (-1), LAB 39% (-1), LD 10% (+3), UKIP 12% (0), OTHER 9% (-1)

The political landscape has remained largely unchanged over the Christmas period with Labour’s lead over the Conservatives in the first Kantar Public poll of 2013 remaining at ten points. Labour are now on 39% with the Conservative party on 29%.

The Liberal Democrats have bounced back from their lowest ever vote share in a Kantar Public poll, and now stand at 10%. The UKIP result has fallen back and now stabilised at 12% following the record high of 16% in December and they remain the party with the third biggest share of the vote.

Kantar Public interviewed a representative sample of 1,221 people between 4th-7th January 2013.
All interviews were conducted as online self-completion. The data is weighted to match population totals for age, sex, social grade, working status, presence of children, 2010 voting patterns and region.
