Head of Policy

Sarah is a Director and Head of Policy in Kantar Public. She joined in 2013 with over 20 years’ experience in social research to inform policy development and evaluation.

Sarah Cheesbrough

Sarah started her career at the Office for National Statistics where she worked on large scale government surveys. Her career has spanned posts in Whitehall, including the Cabinet Office, Department for Communities and Local Government and National Audit Office and she was previously Director of Housing, Planning and Development Research at Ipsos MORI.

Sarah leads a team of over 20 quantitative researchers conducting a wide variety of studies for Government and other public sector clients. She is the project director for an ongoing survey of claimant satisfaction for the Department of Work and Pensions; a ground breaking investigation of the lives of young carers for the Department for Education and a longitudinal evaluation of the impact of Ofgem’s reforms to the energy market on consumer behaviour. She has a particular interest in housing market research and recently delivered a study of the home buying and selling process for the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.
