Dan is a director in Kantar Public’s qualitative team and helps to lead projects using innovative methods across policy areas.
His expertise is in helping clients to develop strategies for engaging with people and to understand the impact of this engagement – be this through a communication or a new service.
Dan is a mixed method researcher with a particular interest in ethnography, technology enabled research, evaluation and communications testing. He has led major studies for the DfE, DH, PHE, DfT, HMRC, BIS and the Cabinet Office, as well as private sector clients including BP, Google and Samsung. Dan has a particular expertise in working across education and social care policy areas, and often leads work on sensitive subjects - such as criminal behaviour and radicalisation - with vulnerable and hard-to-reach audiences.
Dan previously worked for EdComs, the Tavistock Institute, the Policy Research Bureau and Barnardo’s. He has a BA in Social Psychology from Sussex University, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
