Research to explore the triggers and barriers to the take up of Working Tax Credit among those without dependent children. The research was based on 57 face-to-face depth interviews which were conducted with two sets of respondents: those without dependent children who were currently claiming WTC (recipients); and those without dependent children who were potentially eligible to claim WTC (non-recipients). The sample was demographically wide ranging in order to identify and explain any variations in the information requirements of different sub-groups of people.
