This report contains the latest quarterly results of the Monthly Tracking Survey that forms part of the Tobacco Control Marketing Communications Evaluation Research conducted by TNS-BMRB on behalf of the Department of Health and COI. A monthly tracking survey of Routine and Manual workers who smoke has been conducted since October 2008, with a quarterly survey among all smokers. The aim of this survey is to track performance on DH KPIs and to measure the effectiveness of specific DH marketing and campaigns. Questions are placed on TNS-BMRB’s face-to-face omnibus survey to cigarette smokers and recent-ex smokers (those who have quit in last 6 months) aged 16-74 in England. Prior to the monthly tracking, research was carried otu annually from 1999 to 2004 and then before and after specific campaigns.
