Kantar Public has been commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to lead a major programme of research into adult English and maths provision in England.
Kantar Public is leading the research consortium, which includes the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, National Institute of Economic and Social Research and AlphaPlus, the education consultancy. The project will run over 3-4 years and includes a randomised control trial to test different forms of delivery for adult English and maths provision. It will also include a large-scale longitudinal study of learners to examine skill development over time and the longer-term earnings and employment outcomes for learners.
The research will help to address a number of evidence gaps and inform the way provision is delivered in the future.
