An extended piece on the British Crime Survey was featured on last night’s edition of the BBC Radio 4 Midnight News. Conducted by Kantar Public since 2001, the survey asks people aged 16 and over living in households in England and Wales about their experiences of crime in the last 12 months.

The feature (running from 3:55 to 5:35) provides an intriguing insight into the reasons why crime appears to be falling in Britain and around the world, set within a historical context over the last century.
