Vanessa de Guzmán – Director
Vanessa de Guzmán (née Stone) specialises in managing qualitative social policy research.
She has been a social policy researcher for over twenty years, and has been primarily involved with conducting qualitative studies for government departments and bodies, including the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Department for Transport, the Department of Health, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department for Education and Skills, the Metropolitan Black Police Association, COI, the Healthcare Commission, and the NHS Executive, but also for national charities, such as NSPCC and the British Heart Foundation.
Her main research interests are user involvement and satisfaction with services, specialising in research among people from ethnic minorities, and with topics like disability, crime, policing and transport. Vanessa has taught research methods, particularly using qualitative research to study sensitive issues, and has given a number of talks as part of the Social Research Association training programme.
Vanessa has been with the company since 1999.
