Nick Howat – Head of Social and Political Attitudes

Nick Howat joined TNS-BMRB in January 2000 after completing an MA in Political Behaviour from the University of Essex and is the head of the Social and Political Attitudes unit.

While at TNS-BMRB Nick has worked on a number of high profile and complex projects including the 2010 British Election Study, the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England and the second national study of the prevalence of child maltreatment in the UK for the NSPCC. In addition to this, Nick also has a great deal of experience in customer insight research and developed the Cabinet Office guidance for measuring customer satisfaction in order to improve customer experience.

Nick manages the Social and Political Attitudes unit at TNS-BMRB, which is responsible for our social trending analysis, opinion polling, and voting intentions research.
