Helen Angle – Head of Communications Research Centre, Director
Helen Angle (Director) has over 20 years experience in social research, and currently heads up the Communications Research Centre within TNS-BMRB, which focuses on delivering excellence in communications research for the public sector.
She joined BMRB in 1995 from the Harris Research Centre where she worked in the Social and Political Division. She has specialised in social research since 1987, whilst working on a wide range of surveys for the public sector, specialising in behaviour change and campaign evaluation.
She has given a number of papers on communications research, and undertakes training in the subject. She also contributed to the IPPR review of behaviour change, the NESTA overview of how communications can help to change environmental behaviour and the National Audit Office review of best practice in changing behaviour through communications.
While at TNS-BMRB she has been responsible for research projects carried out for a wide range of government research departments and agencies with a large number of projects concerning campaign evaluation including the tracking research for Change4Life, the THINK! road safety programme, the Early Diagnosis of Cancer campaign, the Act On CO2 campaign for the Department for Transport, and ten years of tracking NHS Health Scotland’s campaigns, amongst others.
